Ever since 2010, we have hit a reoccurring theme that depicts and highlight the Angry Black Women Complex. The media has done a horrific job at putting black women under a magnifying glass to portray them in TV shows, movies, and even music videos for over decades now. The media has become masterminds at telling the whole world o the whole idea of black women being acceptable only if you shut up and shake your ass in the background of some music video then everything will be okay. Just like in my previous post with Chad OchoCinco, it still don’t find it hard to believe that Slim Thug, Texas Rapper, would find would continue this black woman bashing epidemic. He goes to say in an interview with Vibe Magazine all his reasons for why he doesn’t like black women. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Brothas you have to do better on how you present it to the public. This isn’t barbershop talk where you can say whatever you like and only way people will know is through hear say. Brothas should already know that we are sensitive about how badly our name has been portrayed so take it into consideration that if you want to get a point across, think about it and word it in a less ignorant manner. Slim Thug may a few reasonable points but look at what he surrounds himself with. He’s yet another product of his environment, I feel sorry for him that he can only base his judgments off his surroundings and what comes his way. What about the entrepreneurs, lawyers, Executives, and CEO’s. Black women all over the nation can NOT and WILL not be categorized into these selfish antiques. Brothas like Slim Thug are the problem; it’s like the pot calling the kettle black. If you demand a certain entity in your women, generalize it for yourself, not all black women are what you want them to be, no women of any race for that matter. So Slim Thug, You want a submissive and passive woman that will cook you dinner with ducktape on her mouth every night, to call your own? I am pretty sure you will find it but it isn’t me.

I stumbled upon yet another product to get your curls bouncing. Uncle Funky’s Daughter “Curly Magic”. It’s an all natural, Silicone free product that is used on kinky and curly textured hair to defined the curls. By using the shingling method it will give you elongated curls. Now I just got a bottle of Kinky Curly that I stay faithful to but I will be trying this product out to see how it treats my hair. If it works for you PLEASE let us know 😉
I’m tired of watching the news and seeing progress that could’ve been handled so differently, but because I am not of in the oval office I must sit back and let it happen. Recently the Gulf Coast erupted with a Oil Spill that had leaked into the ocean and has cause a disaster to many communities, beaches, people, and natural landmarks. Coast Guard needs to take extra responsibility and act on this like it were serious. I’d hate to through Hurricane Katrina in the mix, but I feel it’s just repeat. Why are we sitting back watching the oil spill into our water? I don’t want to live in this mess, Obama needs to get it together and add it at the top of his list. I hate to see that people are losing business and the whole Gulf Coast is suffering yet again from a disaster that wasn’t their fault. I do believe that media is controlling the information given out and I want to know what’s really going on down there. Drilling holes for oil is already bad enough for the environment, maybe this nature’s way of payback and it sucks.
I have been getting alot of questions and comments about going natural and I always ask first, what do YOU want to do? I chopped all of my hair off 2 years ago and started from scratch but there are other ways of riding yourself from the toxins and chemicals to bring back your natural glow. My question this week is which would you prefer: Transitioning or The Big Chop?
What is transitioning? Getting rid of all those chemicals, stopping the creamy crack nursing your hair back to natural health slowly, without chopping it all off.

I AM NOT SURPISED!!!! After reading the email that one of his contestants put out to many websites I have already made up my mind that OchoCinco did in fact not want any black girls on his dating reality show that he is currently filming. Contestants are saying and producers are agreeing that he doesn’t like black girls on there. It seems like it’s always the darkest most chocolatest brothas that want to exclude women that look like their own mother smh. Supposedly This chick made it to be one of the top ladies and was traded in for more hispanic and white girls to be added to the show. Take a peak at the email taken from www.theybf.com :
I am an avid reader of YBF and was recently selected as one of the final 85 for Chad’s )OchoCinco) dating reality show. Long story short, Chad has identity issues and primarily chose Latinas and white girls (mostly brunette’s). Many of the black girls were eliminated right off the back (including Rabbit from Real Chance of Love)<– might I add Cali made a cameo as well. I managed to make top 30 before getting eliminated.
The entire day was unorganized and Chad only wanted to do things his way; he wouldn’t listen to producers and all selections were made by him only. In the beginning Chad walked the field and immediately began to dismiss girls, he later called a group of ten girls (including myself) up to the front and told us to “not worry you’re not going anywhere..” Shortly after he directed us to do a quick warm up lap (at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA). This warm up lap turned into chaos, lap after lap producer’s were unsure of what to do next so they directed girls to keep running. Luckily, I stay with a personal trainer, so I ran a total of 6 laps before I stopped for water. Some girls began to hyperventalate, while others began to walk. One by one, Chad starting pulling black girls aside and telling them “bye.” During my stop for a cup of water, Chad called me over along with a group of six girls; 5 black and 1 white. He then said “umm… you guys are eliminated… uh.. yea–yea eliminated–Except for you.” And guess who he pulled out the group? The white girl.
Long story short, Chad is intimidated by a successful black woman. And this so-called competition definitely wasn’t based off of looks or class. **I’m Just Sayin**

So is this just an angry black female mad that she was picked over a girl of another race? Possibly. But I am not suprised at all that OchoCinco is going to pick a non-black girl in the end. Identity issues or not his whole made up perception on being colorblind is a flop and he draws dissapointment because I did believe he was a true brotha trying to make a good name for himself. I’ll be honest and say he was in my top 10 sexiest men. And I realize he wants good ratings, so in the end a successful black woman would only be intimdation to the other ladies and “boredom” doesn’t need to be on that kind of dating show anyways. When reality sets in he will realize his faults, and it will be too late. He should’ve never did a stupid show like this, love on a show? FAKE! Please someone tell me what Reality Dating TV show was successful and tastefully done? It hasn’t. Because tasteful people don’t do mess like that. I’m done.
Okay so you can comb it, but never when it’s DRY! I’ve noticed that you get your most definition when your hair is wet, so after I give my mane a good washing I run my comb through with conditioner; Loreal Nature’s Therapy Mega Strength Fortifying Conditioner once a week and I don’t comb my hair as much afterwards. This may sound crazy but when you have an afro pik and some fingers there is no need to continuously comb through your hair every day. You will lose definition and get that scarey frizzy afro that we all try to avoid. Daily I spritz my hair with Elasta Care Moisturing Spray and dap on their Feels like Silk Gel to keep it soft and healthy. So my tip for you is lay off all that combing and brushing and let the curl do it’s own thing 😉
