The Other Woman.

Ashley Dupre, as well all know is an escort and she feels there are four types of men:

A faithful man, a man with a girlfriend, a man that’s unfaitful, a married man with kids.

The only thing that she doesn’t target is the “faithful” man. She disgusts me only because she is making a living off of being the other women.  With this whole tiger situation, I feel that he is giving these women a chance to shine.  They are put in the spotlight and want to be called out even if they were categorized as a hoe, an escort, or the homewrecker.

I will never allow myself and those women that are in my life to be put down as nothing but the best when it comes to their men.  And if you know the different categories for married men, then hunny you have a problem.

VH1’s 100 Hip-Hop Songs

I was so happy to flip to VH1 after a long day, to find all of my favorite hip-hop artists of all times on the Top 100 Hip-Hop countdowns.  I stood up on my bed and recited lyrics to Chubb Rock “Treat em Right”  and Blackstar “Definitions. And then I started to do the bankhead bounce and tootsie roll to 2 Live Crew “Me so Horny” and YoYo “Cant play with my Yo-Yo”…let’s not forget my all-time favorite A Tribe Called Quest..no need to be specific!

I was exposed at a very young age in the 80’s to Hip-Hop Culture through my dad.  He was a DJ on the side, and used to play all types of music of that would blasting through our little house in Oakland, ca.  From old school raggae and hip-hop and even oldies, the music seeped into my soul and became apart of me.  I feel like that was when music was REAL.  The messages that artists were sending to their friends were not just “LOL smiley face” but something that you can relate to, whether you were a mother with 5 kids on welfare, or a college student trying to make something out of yourself.  I sometimes wish I was the age I am in the 80′ and early 90’s, that when music was the best reflection of the hip-hop culture!

Here’s voter’s top 10 choice by artist/title

01 Public Enemy / “Fight The Power”
02 Sugarhill Gang / “Rapper’s Delight”
03 Dr. Dre / “Nuthin But A ‘G’ Thang”

05 Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five / “The Message”
06 N.W.A. / “Straight Outta Compton”

30,000 more??

Just last night President Obama ordered to send 30,000 more troops to Afganistan.  Of course this strategy drew political fire on both sides.  Republicans are doing their “I told you so” dance while democrats are feeling let down.  When will he take our soldiers out of the War? Do you realize how much money it’s going to be?

I know a few people personally that have been drafted to the Afganistan areas and it makes my body cringe to know that 30,000 more troops are going back over there.  I can’t imagine how one is feeling if they were to be enlisted.

I am an advocate for PEACE and what move Obama just made does not support change.  Maybe he has a strategy that we can’t quite understand yet, but as a citizen I want my soldiers out of there.  There are plenty of things that America needs to take care of right here, in our own country.  Just leave the middle east be. jeesh!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Of course, Chanel Iman worked the runway at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show last night on CBS.  Did you miss it? Here are a couple flicks!

December 1st

So this is your chance to be amongst the world and go out and get tested.  There is no reason why you shouldn’t become knowledgeable on this day.  It was funny waiting in line today to get tested myself, and my fellow peers walked pass the testing rooms taunting and laughing at the students who were brave and mature enough to participate in this world event.  Things like “I thought you were a virgin” and “Oh, I knew she was gonna be in line” was the ignorance that continues to lurk in the black community.  We cannot keep this “plague” on the hush any longer, if you want to keep yourself safe you have to keep yourself knowledgable.

My advice is this, knowledge is power and by getting tested for HIV/AIDs is making yourself more aware and lessoning the risk of being infected.  You may want to laugh and snicker at those in line, but just think they are going to know and you are NOT.

That is all, wrap it, strap it, and swab it when your done.

Lady Gaga Represents for the Strange and Famous

49243998There is much rant and controversy with the whole “Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift” but do you guys see LADY GAGA?!

Lady Gaga graced the VMA’s with her creativity.  As the cameras were panning through the crowd she stood out like a sore thumb.  I couldnt understand, but I soon found out that she was in act the whole time.  She wore this odd masquerade ball outfit that did NOT compliment her body at all, as she set patiently in her seat waiting for her time to shine.

Lady Gaga’s performance was probably one of the best highlights of the evening.  The eye-popping, blood and gory inactments, is what made her stand out, let alone her costumes played a big role in her performances as well.  She sang “Paparazzi” and “Pokerface” as the crowd stood in amazement.

After winning Best New Artist, Lady Gaga appeared on stage with a lacey red outfit that covered her face. In her acceptance speach she made a statement that left my mind awkward. “I want to thank God and the Gays” Now, there has been many speculations of Lady Gaga being gay or a hermaphadite.  Even so, she was also made one of the jokes of the evening.  It still makes me wonder, but either way Lady Gaga is fabulous and shows true SELF EXPRESSION.
