Dame Fifty5: The Indie Pop Vision

Music lovers can only go back to the future with this Cincinatti born artist, Dame Fifty5 is Indie Pop Culture’s next best unsigned artist.  He started off with a passion for fashion at the Fashion Institue for Design Merchandise in Los Angeles and soon grew into his love for music. Dame’s creative abilities have been expressed through many influences using different sounds to capture your mind and take your soul on a ride.  I’ve favorited one song entitled “Love Nior” off his first mixtape Rode to Ruins because I instantly fell in love with the lyrics and the sound seemed so timeless to Hip Hop.  While he is currently in Berlin, Germany right now I will continue to rock out to his music back here in the bay.

Just a cool video that was on his myspace 🙂

Dondria- “Shawty Wus Up”

Dondria’s “Shawty Wus Up” reminds me of summer time in the south. I had to put her on her to give my vibe a lil’ edge. Dondria was discovered and picked up by Jermaine Dupri on Youtube and is soon to be dropping her first album August 17th so look out for her. Enjoy!

“No Ones Gonna Love You” – Cee Lo Green

I honestly love this song “No Ones Gonna Love You” by Cee Lo Green. His voice is amazing and he’s one of the greatest artists in my book. Check out the promo video to go with it, I like.

Pharrell- Prettiest Girls

I’m glad to se that Pharrell back in the studio even though he probably never left.  He’s always doing something for the ladies and keeping it classy.  Check out his released song “Prettiest Girls”…seems like an album is brewing!

Curls gives you a “Sweet Rush”

The two Somalian and Canadian Natives Shiam and Hashi have the cutest combination of bouncy curls not to mention their aspiring music abilities but together with sisterly love.  The sister duo “Sweet Rush” have new single that released a few months ago entitled “Keep Chasing Me”.  It has a very pop and girly vibe that can be rocked with your top dropped or even in the club.  These are girls are so chic that you probably won’t resist their sweet rush!

follow them on twitter for updates www.twitter.com/sweetrushworld

Kelly Rowland- Grown Woman

Being a Grown woman can not be defined in just a song but I like how the upcoming Kelly Rowland uses her lyrics to make slight comeback in the woman empowerment.  It seems like ever since Beyonce went solo it’s always been hard for Kelly  to make her own comeback but I have a feeling about this one.  Tell me what you think.

Georgia by Cee-Lo

He is so amazing and he’s back with a new single. “Georgia” which has such a classical sound.  You can now download his mixtape Stray Bullets which is also amazing.  Finally real music that I can enjoy! I love summertime!

XXXO- M.I.A

She’s baaaaaack! But she never left in my heart.  With this whole comparison between M.I.A and Lady Gaga to be honest I see none at all.  They are both unique and different, that’s my only comparison. And can you say fashion moguls?  M.I.A just released her first single “XXXO” to her upcoming third album.  This Sri-Lankan artist is continuing with her signature sound but giving us a more flirty edge.  Take a listen!
