Young, Pregnant, and on the Cover of Teen Vogue?

British Model Jourdan Dunn (left) and her collegue Chanel Iman are working this new cover of the November issue in many ways possible.  Not only are they black, but Jourdan is PREGNANT.  This is a pretty big deal because they are two very successful black women to be able to share the cover of a teen magazine.  I don’t think there is anything wrong with being on the cover pregnant because on her very slender body, Jourdan doesn’t show that much.  The editors must really wanted them on the cover of the November issue really bad to bypass the fact that she is a young, single, and pregant model.  I commend Teen Vogue for their Bold move, keep it up let’s keep this world going.

p.s. Jourdan is 19 years old and expecting to give birth in December

It’s about time we see Plus-Size

It was reported a month ago on AOL that the November issue of Glamour Magazine did a photoshoot on Plus-Size models.  As you can see here, there are lovely shaped women of different shades and sizes, but all representing real women.  I think its about time that they start putting real women into the spotlight. It’s nothing wrong with being plus-size, Especially since America is constently changing everyday.  This generation of women are more voluptuous and “thick” then what my parents used to be back in the 60’s or 70’s.

I’m not a big fan of Glamour magazine but I will be picking up this issue to see what writer Genevieve Field has to say about obssession with weight, fashion, and model size!

Who said Big Bras Cant be Sexy?!

Every since I could remember I’ve had fairly large breasts, and I would always struggle with finding the right bra that would fit right. It wasnt until High School I began to invest in bras because I didnt want to walk around looking like GRANDMA!  The bras in walmart and target are NOT SEXY! and if you are a DD or above your selection is limited to the factory sizes.

I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite bras that I wear on a regular basis and for special ocassions 😉

I absolutely love freya bras, they are my favorite because they are full of colors and of course they cater to bigger cup sizes! You can find these at Nordstroms or on the Freya website.

 

I have this classic bra called “Millie” in black, tan, and pink! It can be worn under a t-shirt or you can dress it up as well. I also like how if for some reason it peaks through your shirt the oopsy will be sexy!

If you are trying to feel your sexy this is the bra! I have one in white with pink lace trim and trust me it works magic!
